What shapes flooring work in Mississauga?
The typical project here is a main floor of red oak strip that has never been refinished, worn through in the traffic path from the garage door to the kitchen, with a stained band around the fridge and dishwasher. That floor almost always has sanding life left, and refinishing it costs a fraction of replacement while producing a better floor than a mid-range replacement product. The second common project is opening the plan: when a wall between kitchen and living room comes out, there is a strip of missing floor to weave in and two floors laid in different directions to reconcile. Two-storey homes here also have the open-to-below staircase as the centrepiece of the entry, so recapping carpeted stairs in hardwood with new spindles has an outsized effect for the money.
